Reverend Aaron McCall of Faith in Action Outreach Ministries gave members an update regarding the Shared Youth Vision Summit to be held in Montgomery at Vaughn Forest Church of Christ on December 9 and 10. He explained how Lowndes County has been working closely with ADECA on Career Development for High School Students and extended an invitation for those interested to attend the summit.

Angela Daniel of All Kids updated the CPC on the Kid Check events that were held at the elementary schools throughout the county. She stated that all three events were a huge success and Dr. Boyd and Angela thanked all who assisted. They also praised the school nurses for making the event such a success and announced that events would follow in the spring for the middle and high schools. Discussion followed regarding our annual health fair and it was agreed that the council may want to support the Kid Check program in lieu of hosting the Adult Health Fair because of the impact it had on the school age children.
Announcements were made regarding upcoming events. Mary Anne Martin asked that the members assist her in defining the word reconciliation and to provide her a list of outreach projects that could be used as a form of reconciliation in the community through the Episcopal Church.
2009 calendars and door prizes were distributed to the members as a token of appreciation for their hard work during the year.
The meeting concluded at 4:30 p.m.
